BLAZE QUBITS ROBOTICS
Overview:
Blaze Qubits is tailored for middle school students under the age of 15 by May 1st. It serves as an introductory platform to robotics, offering younger students a first step into the world of competitive robotics through the VEX Robotics Competition.
Key Features:
The division focuses on engaging younger students with robotics fundamentals in a supportive, mentor-guided environment. The curriculum is designed to spark interest in STEM and provide a solid foundation in basic robotics skills.
Educational Outcomes:
Participants will gain:
Foundational skills in mechanical and electronic engineering, basic programming, sensor technology, and CAD.
An introduction to the engineering design process and effective documentation practices. Essential soft skills such as teamStudents will learn:
Basic principles of mechanical and electronic engineering and programming.
An understanding of the engineering design process tailored to younger learners.
Critical soft skills including teamwork, communication, and problem-solving. work, communication, and problem-solving.
Structure and Schedule:
Regular Season: September to March.
Early Season: June to August.
Post Season: March to May.
Teams meet at least twice a week, focusing on guided design and build activities, programming, and maintaining an engineering notebook.
Support and Resources:
Each team is paired with dedicated adult mentors, and students have access to structured seminars and clinics to bolster their learning.
